Embassy and Consulate Legalization
Certifying and legalizing documents for countries who are non-members of the Hague Apostille Convention require additional steps to complete.
These additional steps include:
State certification
US Department of State certification (if required)
Embassy or Consulate legalization
These three steps are commonly referred to as the “Legalization Process“.
The process of legalizing your documents will depend on the type of documents you have, the US state your documents originate from, and the Country requesting your documents.
